What to Wear
In home sessions are meant to be cozy and your clothing selection should reflect that. I always suggest sticking to neutral colors: whites, browns, blues, tans, and greys. Make sure your outfit selections are comfortable and easy to move around in.
Mom
I want you to wear whatever you feel the most comfortable in. Dress yourself in something you feel relaxed, confident, and beautiful in and then build the rest of the family around your outfit. A couple great options for postpartum moms are: a neutral colored flowy dress or a neutral colored sweater/cardigan paired with jeans or leggings.
Outfits for Baby
I will bring along a variety of outfits, swaddle blankets, and hair bows for baby. Of course, if you have a special outfit you would like your baby to wear that is more than welcomed :)
Shoes
Shoes are not necessary for in-home sessions. You can plan to be either barefoot or in socks. If you do choose to wear socks, try to avoid any patterns. A solid color is preferred.
Details
When I arrive at your home, I will walk around for a few minutes to assess the light. Most likely I will want to shoot in these areas of your home: living room, parent's bedroom, and the nursery. Of course, you can let me know if there are certain areas of your home you would like me to avoid. Plan to have these areas of your home extra tidy with all "stuff" removed from counters and surfaces.
